Remember that SOCCER IS A GAME!  Health and safety of players should be our number one concern.

Parents have the primary responsibility for keeping their children safe.  Please be aware of weather conditions during practices and games, and be prepared to pick your child up early or keep them home if warranted. 

SBV will use the WetBulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) to determine whether practices are canceled, shortened or held as scheduled. The WBGT is a measure of heat stress in direct sunlight, which takes into account: temperature, humidity, wind speed, sun angle and cloud cover.

If the forecast calls for unusually warm temperatures the WetBulb Globe Temperature will be measured on the fields one hour before each practice. The following guidelines will be used to determine if practice will be canceled, shortened or held as scheduled:
